GitHub has their Funding.yml file, composer and npm can tell you about projects seeking funding - why not be able to surface that data on Drupal.org? This is the idea behind the Funding module. We are proposing to use OpenCollective, Patreon, PayPal, and other fundraising sites to put buttons on D.o project pages.
